Ikeda Daisaku’s View on Moral Education and Its Implication

Abstract:Ikeda Daisaku is the famous Buddhist thinker, philosopher and educationist at present time. He has made great contribution to moral education. This article aims to explore his systematic view on moral education which emphasizes the following aspects: a. moral education, along with skill education, is essential for schooling that both of them should be promoted synchronously; b. household education is indispensable and should mainly evolve around moral education; c. moral learning is a life-long project which deserves to be the focus of the whole community. Such a systematic view sheds valuable light on moral education that will promote its pertinence and efficiency.
