The Implications of Wenzhou Financial Reform to Foshan Private Financial Development

Abstract：Wenzhou and Foshan are two cities that have many similar characteristics, such as the industrial structure, the economic development status and the development trend. Simultaneously, Wenzhou and Foshan are suffering from the similar financial dilemma: numerous small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) are lack of financing support, and numerous private capital is lack of investment channel. To solve such a dilemma, the central government of China sets up a financial reform region in Wenzhou to bring both the capital need side and capital supply side on board. The experience and lessons of Wenzhou financial reform provide important implications to Foshan private financial development.
