Reflection on the Motivations of the Professional Development for University Teachers and Its Improving Strategies

Abstract：There are some serious problems existing in the professional development of the university teachers, such as one-sided in development content, superficial development methods, and the incoherent development process. The problems are rooted in the insufficient internal motivation and the imbalance between internal power and external power. To promote the university teachers’ professional development, it is necessary to enrich the internal motivation and improve the external motivation as well.
