On the Connotation and Contemporary Value of Mao Zedong’s Theory on the Second Combination

Abstract：Mao Zedong’s theory on the Second Combination is the summary and extension for the first combination, mainly emphasizing on China’s situation and China’s positive innovation facing constructive practice. The application of the theory affirms the principles in building Chinese socialism, and witnesses the positive outcomes in exploring construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the areas of economics, politics and culture. It also provides significant references for china to exploit the development path, to understand the essence of socialism, to deepen the reform and to promote the sustainable development in all areas.
