Abstract:After the reform of traditional Chinese opera drama in 1950s, the specialization of art production can be achieved. Since the reform and opening up in China, the vitality of traditional Chinese opera under the impact of the spread of western pop music as the main basis of the mass culture of consumption is declining. Thus, the Chinese pop music continues to explore a new form integrated with opera and pop music. Although slightly messy, it still has demonstrated a new, unique art appreciation principle has been rising. Therefore, only rooted in traditional culture, Chinese pop music develops towards contemporary popular music with distinctive Chinese cultural characteristics as a new type of music.
