The Inspiration of Marx’s Leisure Value on the Development of Sport Leisure in China

Abstract：Though the argument of two logical starting points of labour and leisure, the ideological core of Marx’s ultimate goal of realizing people’s all-round and free development has been demonstrated clearly. In modern times, the origin of Marx’s leisure value distinguished the relationship between labour and leisure. The important content of Marx’s leisure value is dual attention of leisure power and quality of leisure life. This study suggests that sport leisure is a tie to link labour and leisure, and the development of sport leisure now should focus on both citizens’ sport leisure rights and quality of sport leisure life, which accordingly realizes the harmonious development between sport leisure and society, economy and individual.
