Abstract：Chinese to English translation is an indispensable tool under the context of Chinese Culture go-ing to the World .Faced with the situation of poor Chinese-English translation among Chinese English learners ,this paper attempts to improve their translation competence based on the theory of lexical chunks and offers some suggestions as well .
