An Attempt to Formalize Philosophical Propositions:A Case Study
GUO Liang
Abstract:Focused on the principle of “universal connection and eternal development”by Marxist Philoso-phy ,this paper investigates the possibilities of Marxist calculating experiments by analyzing the logic framework and connotation and studying the four pathways of its formalization as follows :(1) the im-pact of each thing and some things means that ?x ?y H (x ,y );(2 ) some things affecting each thing means that ?x?yH(x ,y);(3) the impact of anyone thing to anyone thing means that ?x?yH(x ,y);(4) some things affecting some things means that ?x ?yH(x ,y) .The paper induces the principle of this philosophy to a set of logical propositions ,and expands on the“universal connection”on the basis of strong ,weak ties to analyze and discuss the philosophical implications .Combined with “causal connec-tion” ,this paper points out that the possibilities of “connection” and ,based on the uncertainty ,it ex-plains the fundamental difficulties in the course of formalization in philosophical principles and attempts to conduct Marxism philosophical experiment .
