Culture of Lin Fengmian and Lingnan School
Abstract：Lingnan School appears in the beginning of this century, first from Guangdong. Represented by Lingnan three heroes, Lingnan school, an influential art genre at home and abroad, advocates to in- novate traditional Chinese painting by learning from the virtue of painting arts, especially from western countries, making towards the development of modernization, nationalization and popularity so as to im- prove the aesthetic education performance. Its manifestations are a compromise between East and West, and the fusion of ancient and modern. Although Lin Fengmian has never been one part of Lingnan School painters, the spirits of his revolution in proposing "Art Revolution" and establishing "Modern Chinese Painting" remain the same strain with Lingnan School in attracting foreign advanced painting skills and techniques.
