A Warning Work and Its Helpless Ending of Human Beings in the Technical Flow--Rereading Herbert Marcuse's One-Dimensional Man
Abstract：Marcuse faces human's alienated condition and social morbid characteristics in modern developed industrial society, and thoroughly analyzes the assimilated trend of developed capitalism society. It is technical development that makes human beings and society keep depressive and one dimension. The former shows human's abnormal development and depravity, and the latter performance shows the disappearance of opposition and objections. New type of totalitarianism uses technical methods to manipulate human's consciousness, and extends ' rationality' principle in production process to all areas of social life such as politics, life, culture and ideology. For the liberation of one dimensional society and the realization of human's freedom, Marcuse displays his laelpless pessimistic. One-Dimensional Man is a warning work and helpless ending of human beings in the technical flow.
