Discussion on the Two Kinds of Production Theories as Historical Materialism Monism——Rereading Origin of the Family,Private Property and the State
Abstract：Since ＂Origin＂ has published,critics have always maintained that Marx＇s historical materialism only regarded material production as the decisive element in the history,while Engels advocated ＂there were two kinds existing in production itself＂,which is called dualism.However,Engels＇ theory about two kinds of production is extremely historical materialism monism.Decisive element being considered in the course of historical materialism is not material production but material life production,but what it is meant by material life production is the dialectical synthesis of ＂two kinds of production＂-human self production and material production.
