A Study of the Salary Satisfaction of Tourist Guides in the Pearl River Delta
Abstract:By using SPSS13.0 software to analyze the statistical data of the questionnaire and by using the methods of factor analysis, descriptive statistics, independent sample T test, multivariate analysis, and the Scheffe method, this paper shows that tourist guides in the Pearl River Delta have comparatively low salary satisfaction and strong turnover intention. Turnover intention is negatively correlated with the salary satisfaction. Tourist guides are most dissatisfied with the salary level in the four dimensions of salary satisfaction. Therefore, travel agencies should develop a reasonable salary system and improve the salary satisfaction of tourist guides to reduce their turnover rate.
