Introduction and Screening of High-quality Ratooning Rice Varieties Suitable for Southern Henan

Abstract：In order to screen out the ratooning rice varieties with high yield,high quality and high resistance,which were suitable for being popularized and planted in southern Henan,Liangyou 6326(a high-quality rice variety widely cultivated in Jianghuai region since 2021)was taken as the control variety(CK),and fifteen high-quality varieties of ratooning rice were introduced to carry out the screening test.Then,the growth period,yield and main agronomic traits of each rice variety were investigated.The results showed that:among the tested varieties,the seven varieties including Lvyinzhan,Shenliangyou 867,Meiliangyou Huangzhan,Keliangyou No.1,Longjingyou 1212,Taoyouxiangzhan and Liangyou 6326(CK)had a total yield of more than 12 000 kg·hm-2 in double seasons.Among them,the total yield of Taoyouxiangzhan and Longjingyou 1212 in the two seasons reached 13 567.87 kg·hm-2 and 13,122.23 kg·hm-2,respectively,which were 4.3%and 0.9%higher than that of Liangyou 6326(CK),showing good yield.These two cultivars also demonstrated excellent grain quality and shorter growth duration in both the first-crop and ratoon-crop seasons.Therefore,they could effectively avoid the safety impact caused by the cold-dew wind,and had the value of being the leading popularized variety of ratooning rice in the southern Henan rice area.
