Effects of Seeding Rate on Growth,Yield and Quality of Yanmai No.7

Abstract：Taking the new medium-strong gluten wheat cultivar Yanmai No.7 as the research material,four seeding rate treatments of 12.5,15.0,17.5 and 20.0 kg/667 m2 were set up to compare and analyze the effects of different seeding rates on the photosynthetic capacity,lodging resistance,yield,and grain quality of Yanmai No.7,so as to provide data support for the subsequent promotion of this cultivar.The results showed that the seeding rate had a significant impact on the photosynthetic capacity of Yanmai No.7.The flag leaf chlorophyll content and area increased first and then decreased with the increase of seeding rate,while the leaf area index continued to increase.The dry matter mass per plant consistently decreased with the increase of seeding rate,whereas the population dry matter mass increased first and then decreased,reaching the highest value at the seeding rate of 17.5 kg/667 m2.The plant height,as well as the lengths of the first,second,third,fourth internodes,and the peduncle of Yanmai No.7,all increased with the increase of seeding rate.However,the stem diameters of each internode and the breaking resistance of the second internode decreased significantly at the seeding rate of 20.0 kg/667 m2.The effective panicle number of Yanmai No.7 increased first and then decreased with the increase of seeding rate,while the grain number per panicle consistently decreased.The thousand-grain weight decreased significantly at the seeding rate of 20.0 kg/667 m2.Ultimately,the yield increased first and then decreased with the increase of seeding rate,reaching the highest value at the seeding rate of 17.5 kg/667 m2.All grain quality traits decreased with the increase of seeding rate,showing a significant decline at the seeding rate of 20.0 kg/667 m2.Based on the comprehensive research results,when Yanmai No.7 is sown around November 2 with a seeding rate of 17.5 kg/667 m2,it demonstrates favorable performance in terms of photosynthetic capacity,lodging resistance,yield,and grain quality.
