Abstract:Aiming at selecting rice varieties suitable for drill seeding under water in the lower limit of the first accumulated temperature zone and the upper limit of the second accumulated temperature zone in Heilongjiang Province, this study investigated the effects of drill seeding under water on yield components and yield of rice in cold land. A field trial was conducted according to random block design, using 18 early-maturing japonica rice varieties as tested materials. The results showed that among the 18 tested varieties, Kenjiandao 5 and Kendao 19 had overall better performance in plant height, single panicle weight, yield components, and yield. Thus, they are more suitable than the other varieties for drill seeding under water in some areas in Heilongjiang Province. This study provides a reference for selecting rice varieties suitable for drill seeding under water.
