Abstract:Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is one of the effective treatments for coronary heart disease, but neurological complications during the perioperative period significantly affect patients' prognosis and increase the burden on families and the healthcare system. Neurological complications during the perioperative period of CABG mainly include stroke, epilepsy, neurocognitive disorders, and peripheral nerve injury, which are mainly related to the surgical technique, duration of surgery, and drugs used during the operation. Previous studies have found that standardized preoperative and intraoperative assessment, enhanced intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative intervention can help in the early detection of neurological dysfunction and timely treatment, thereby reducing neurological complications and improving the prognosis of CABG patients. This expert consensus summarizes the early identification and management standards for neurological complications during the perioperative period of CABG, aiming to guide the standardized management of complications during the perioperative period of CABG, reduce early postoperative mortality and complication rates, and improve patients' long-term prognosis.
