Abstract:With the wide application of electric vehicles and renewable energy storage systems, the insulation performance of battery packs is increasingly becoming a key technical indicator. This paper focuses on the design and analysis of the thermal insulation performance of the module-less battery pack, taking the battery pack of a pure electric vehicle as an example, using the principle of heat transfer to analyze its box,and identifying the main factors affecting the thermal insulation performance of the battery pack. The battery pack was modeled in three dimensions using CATIA software, and the temperature field of the battery pack was simulated using the heat flow coupling method in Star-CCM+.The results show that the cooling rate of the core is about 3.67℃/h when the core held at-20℃for 6h,and the warming rate of the core at 55℃is 2.83℃/h.The experiment and simulation results show that the insulation layer of the battery pack can meet the insulation requirements effectively and has a good application prospect.
