Patent technology research progress of high-entropy cathode materials for secondary batteries

Abstract：High-entropy cathode materials for secondary batteries have rich composition space and entropy-driven stability,expanding the selection of cathode materials for secondary batteries.This paper takes the patent literature of high-entropy cathode materials for secondary batteries in the HimmPat patent database as a sample.Firstly,quantitative analysis methods are used to comprehensively sort out the global patent application trends,patent regional distributions,important applicants,related types of secondary batteries and cathode materials in this field.Secondly,qualitative analysis methods are used to focus on analyzing the development history,bulk modification and high-entropy coating layers in this field.The analysis indicates that the design rules,synergistic effects,and side effects of high entropy doping elements need to be further studied,and the comprehensiveness of patent layout in this field needs to be improved.
