Abstract:In order to reveal the effect of Boron doping on the morphology, structure, and electrochemical performance of O3 phase NaNi1/3Fe1/3Mn1/3O2 Na-ion battery cathodes, samples of Boron-doped NaNi1/3Fe1/3Mn1/3O2 materials with different doping amounts were prepared. The microstructure, structure, and electrical performance were tested by scanning electron microscope(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and galvanostatic charge/discharge method respectively. The result of SEM showed that the introduction of Boron plays a role in 2 500 mg/kg and 3 750 mg/kg Boron-doped samples were increased to 86.74%,87.1%and 82.81%,respectively,after 50 cycling at 0.5 C rate. However, doping levels of element Boron at 5 000 mg/kg or higher can lead to the increase of NiO impurities and the growing of grain boundaries and stress within primary particles, results in the cycling retention rate sharply decreasing to about 60%.
