Abstract:This study utilized a Polyethylene(PE)base membrane with a thickness of 9 μm and a porosity of 45%to compare the performance differences between the self-developed 430 Ah large-capacity battery and the commonly used 280 Ah energy storage battery. The test data indicates that the 430 Ah battery, equipped with a lamination structure and separator coating design, outperforms the 280 Ah battery with a winding structure in electrical performance and exhibits significant advantages in safety, with a temperature rise of less than 3℃after needle puncture.Additionally, the 430 Ah battery maintains a capacity retention rate of 98.5%after 450 cycles, which is 3%higher than the 280 Ah battery. The test data demonstrates that the optimized design of lamination and separator coating ensures the safety of the battery, enhances its capacity and performance, and achieves a higher cycle life. This research provides new insights for the development of high-capacity energy storage batteries.
