Abstract:Metal bipolar plates for proton exchange membrane fuel cells boast excellent mechanical properties, robust formability, and facile manufacturing processes, thereby garnering significant interests in recent researches and practical applications.Nonetheless, these plates are susceptible to corrosion and aging degradation, posing a pivotal challenge to fast industrial-scale adoption. The existing standard system for the evaluation of bipolar plate products focuses on basic performance testing, while the aging degradation evaluation methods for metal bipolar plates have not been unified. Therefore, this study introduces a comprehensive methodology that synergistically combines electrochemical analysis techniques, physical measurement, and microstructural morphology characterization. This integrated approach is of great theoretical and practical significance for supporting the evaluation of durability performance and coating technological development of metal bipolar plates.
