Research on safety design and verification of thermal batteries

Abstract：Based on the analysis of current safety standards for thermal batteries,this article conducts research on the safety of thermal batteries from two aspects:design and verification.The safety design requirements for thermal batteries have been summarized and formed,mainly including seven categories:electrochemical system selection,configuration and structural design,and thermal design.At the same time,a method is proposed to verify the safety of thermal batteries through high-temperature no-load tests.This method not only saves costs but also shortens the development cycle of new products by simulating heat sources reasonably;through extreme assessment,make the safety assessment of thermal batteries more efficient and thorough.
