Abstract：Lightweight is the development trend of electric vehicles.The development of battery packs for electric vehicles leads to light metal and polymer composite materials.However,these materials can not be guaranteed by external fire test and the safety performance can not be guar-anteed.In this paper,The flame―retardant and heat―insulating coating has the capability of the electric vehicle battery pack system to resist the external flame in a short period of time and gives people in the vehicle the opportunity of rescue or escape,which has important practical signifi-cance and wide application prospect.
