Lithium-ion cell corrosion analysis

Abstract：We discuss the cell corrosion mechanism in flexible packaging lithium-ion batteries,and predict that cell's cell corrosion is the process of Al foil of pouch formed to Li-Al alloy actually, which need meet two essential condition,one is electronic short,that is Al foil of pouch contacted with low potential anode,the other is ion short,that is Al foil of pouch contacted with Li +ion w hich from electrolyte.High SOC(Stage of charge)or reducing electronic short resistance will deteriorate cell corrosion.Once the potential of Al less than 0.284V versus Li/Li+,there will present lithium ion"insertion"reaction from galvanostatic curve of Al/Li simulating corn cell.
