Preparation of BaPbO3 and its influence on the performance of lead-acid battery

Abstract：Appropriate active material additives could improve the property of lead-acid battery ob-viously.BaPbO3 was prepared by utilizing the scary lead materials during preparation of battery in this paper.The influence of preparation methods was carried out in terms of XRD、SEM. Meanwhile,the effect of BaPbO3 as positive active material additive on battery performance was studied.The results indicated that the purity of BaPbO3 with scary raw lead material was up to 80%,and it could increase the conductivity of positive active material,but shorten cyclic life of battery due to the decomposing of BaPbO3 remarkable.
