Abstract:In this paper, we present an approach that reconstruct horizontal and vertical velocity in the ellipse anisotropic media by using the information of reflection wave traveltime from the offset VSP data In this method, the observed media is supposed to stratified ellipse anisotropic, the reflecting traveltime is calculated according to classical ray.tracing theory and geometry relations, and the linear equation set in inversion is solved bv SVD technology.
The method is tested by using the offset VSP data which are used to simulate the case of super-deep borehole by means of finite-difference method in isotropic media and ellipse anisotropic media The reconstruct result shows that the method firom here has good applicability than the inversion scheme in isotropic media, at the same time, it also note the feasibility of this approach Finally, we present velocity image result for the real offset data in isotropic mediaand ellipse anisotropic media, respectively.
