Risk Factors Analysis of Prognosis in Patients with Severe Pneumonia
Abstract:Objective To explore the risk factors for the prognosis of patients with severe pneumonia. Methods A total of 210 inpatients with severe pneumonia admitted to the Fourth People's Hospital of Ya'an from January 2022 to June 2024 were selected. There were 131 males and 79 females, with an average age of (68.34±3.25) years, ranging from 60 to 90 years. According to the survival status within 28 days, the patients were divided into the poor prognosis group (n=51) and the good prognosis group (n=159). The COX regression analysis was used to analyze the impact of various factors on the prognosis of patients with severe pneumonia. Results The COX regression analysis showed that high levels of C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, D-dimer, and the Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II score, as well as involvement of ≥2 lung lobes, pulmonary consolidation, and pleural effusion were risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with severe pneumonia. Conclusion Identifying risk factors helps clinicians identify high-risk patients with poor prognosis and adopt individualized treatment plans to improve the prognosis.
