Abstract:Objective Exploring the risk factors of Group B Streptococcus(GBS)infection in late pregnancy. Methods A total of 4 115 pregnant women admitted to the General Hospital of Northern Theater Command from January to December 2023 were selected, all of whom were female,aged(32.27±3.86)years old.ranging form 19 to 46 years old.Collect basic information, pregnancy and childbirth information, and medical history data of pregnant women, detect GBS infection status of pregnant women, and record adverse outcomes of GBS infected pregnant women, non GBS infected pregnant women. Results Among 4 115 pregnant women in the late stage of pregnancy, there were 217 cases of GBS infection, accounting for 5.27%,and 3 898 cases of non GBS infection, accounting for 94.73%.The proportion of older women, gestational diabetes(GDM),gestational hypertension and pregnancy vaginitis in GBS infected women were higher than that in non GBS infected women, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The results of logistic multivariate analysis showed that age≥35 years old, presence of GDM,and vaginitis during pregnancy were independent risk factors for GBS infection in the late stage of pregnancy(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions during pregnancy between GBS infected and non GBS infected pregnant women(P>0.05);the incidence of adverse reactions in newborns of non GBS infected pregnant women after childbirth is lower than that of newborns of GBS infected pregnant women, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Age≥35 years old, presence of vaginitis during pregnancy, and presence of GDM are independent risk factors for GBS infection in late pregnancy.
