Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of stage rapid rehabilitation on percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy(PELD)for lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods A total of 70 patients with LDH undergoing PELD admitted to General Hospital of Northern Theater Command from January 2020 to December 2023 were selected, including 61 males and 9 females,aged(29.6±5.9)years old, ranging from 19 to 44 years old.Patients were divided into intervention group(n=35)and control group(n=35).Patients in the intervention group underwent early periodic rapid rehabilitation functional exercise after surgery, and patients in the control group underwent routine functional exercise after surgery.Comparing the preoperative and postoperative 6 month Oswestry disability index(ODI)scores, visual analogue scale(VAS)scores,36-item short form survey instrument(SF-36)scores of the two groups of patients, and evaluating the spinal stability(lumbar lordosis, lumbar lord index and sacral tilt angle). Results At 6 months after surgery, the ODI and back VAS score of intervention group was significantly lower than those of control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in leg VAS scores between the two groups(P>0.05).SF-36 partial subscale scores in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The lumbar curvature, lumbar lordosis index and sacral tilt angle in intervention group were better than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Stage rapid rehabilitation therapy can improve the postoperative effect and quality of life of LDH,reduce pain, improve the spinal stability of patients.
