Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical expression of Fc receptor-like 4 (FCRL4) protein in salivary gland mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. Methods 36 salivary gland MALT lymphoma specimens were selected as the experimental group,17 small salivary gland BLEL,40 large salivary gland BLEL and 21 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma specimens were selected as the reference group. The expression of FCRL4 protein in each group and the positive expression of FCRL4 protein in the experimental group were observed. Results The expression rate of FCRL4 in experimental group was significantly higher than that in other reference groups, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). In the experimental group,67.6% (23/34) of the patients with positive expression of FCRL4 were over 50 years old,and very few were found in minors. Parotid gland accounted for 73.5% (25/34) and other sites accounted for 26.5% (9/34). 29.4% (10/34) of patients had Sjogren's syndrome at diagnosis; Patients with Lugano stage IE accounted for 82.4% (28/34). After surgery,41.2% (14/34) of the patients received radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Conclusion FCRL4 protein is highly expressed in salivary gland MALT lymphoma, and can be used as one of the indicators to assist the diagnosis of salivary gland MALT lymphoma.
