Abstract:Objective To evaluate the left atrial function and application value of dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM)by automatic strain of left atrial(Auto Strain LA)without electrical synchronization. Methods A total of 27 cases with DCM were selected as the DCM group from January 2022 to January 2023,30 healthy cases who came to the hospital for physical examination were selected as the health group during the same period. All cases underwent transthoracic echocardiography without electrical synchronization. The left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left atrium diameter(LAD),left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV),left ventricu-lar ejection fraction(LVEF)were collected. The degree of mitral regurgitation was observed by color doppler flow imaging.Auto Strain LA was used in the off-line state of apical four chamber heart with default automatic tracing, and manual correction was operated if there was any error. The left atrial strain during reservoir phase(LASr),left atrial strain rate during conduit phase(LAScd)and left at-rial strain rate during contraction phase(LASct)were recorded. And the degree of anastomosis and repeatability were observed. Results Compared with the health group,LAD,LVEDD,LVEDV and mitral regurgitation in the DCM group increased significantly, and LVEF decreased significantly(P<0.05).The absolute values of LASr,LAScd and LASct in the DCM group were significantly lower than those in the healthy group, which were statistically significant(P<0.05).That indicated significant decreases in all func-tions of the left atrium. The measurement of Auto Strain LA were highly effective and repetitive in the DCM group, and there was no statistically significant difference compared to the healthy group(P>0.05).Conclusion The left atrial reservoir, conduit and pump function of patients with DCM decreased significantly.Auto Strain LA without electrical synchronization is efficient and reliable in the evaluation of left atrial function in patients with DCM.
