Study on the correlation between carbohydrate antigen 19-9,carbohydrate antigen 12-5,cytokeratin 19 fragment and glycosylated hemoglobin level in diabetic patients

Abstract：Objective To investigate the correlation between carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9),carbohydrate antigen 12-5(CA12-5),cytokeratin 19 fragment(CY21-1)and glycosylated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)level in diabetic patients.Methods A total of 101 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted from June 2021 to December 2021 were selected as the study objects,and 70 patients who underwent physical examination during the same period were selected as the healthy group.Patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into diabetes group A(6%-8%,n=51)and diabetes group B(8%-12%,n=50)according to their HbA1c levels.The levels of CA19-9,CA12-5 and CY21-1 among all groups were compared,and the correlation between serum tumor marker levels and HbA1c levels in diabetic patients was analyzed.Results The levels of CA19-9 and CY21-1 in diabetic group B were significantly higher than those in diabetic group A and healthy group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in CA19-9 and CY21-1 levels between diabetic group A and healthy group(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in CA12-5 level among the three groups(P>0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum CA19-9,CY21-1 levels were significantly positively correlated with HbA1c levels in diabetic patients(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum CA19-9 and CY21-1 levels were correlated with HbA1c levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.
