Temozolomide capsules combined with gamma knife treatment in high-grade glioma postoperative residual

Abstract：Objective To explore the different effects of the gamma knife combined with Temozolomide( TMZ) and the sim-ple application of gamma knife treatment in high-grade gliomas of postoperative residual. Methods Retrospective analysis of high-grade glioma surgery was performed on the clinical data of 48 patients with partial residual. According to different treatments,patients were divided into two groups,the simple application of gamma knife treatment of postoperative patients was the control group(n=24),and the postoperative application of combined TMZ gamma knife therapy was the treatment group(n=24). Patients in treatment group were given oral TMZ,all press 5-28 regimen for treatment of 6 cycles,two groups of curative effect and adverse reactions were compared. Results The total effective rate in the control group and treatment group was 45. 8%,70. 8%,respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0. 05);the incidence of adverse reactions in the control group and treatment group was 62. 5%,66. 7%,respectively,and there was no statistically signifi-cant difference( P>0. 05 ) . Conclusion The application of gamma knife combined TMZ treatment of high-grade glioma postoperative residual can improve in the near future curative effect,and does not significantly increase the adverse reaction, which is suitable for clinical application and popularization.
