Clinical analysis of jujube seed in esophageal entrance and endoscopic treatment

Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical curative effect and operation skills of endoscopic treatment in esophageal en-trance within jujube seed. Methods A retrospective study was performed on 87 patients with esophageal entrance within jujube seed received endoscopic treatment in The General Hospital of Shenyang Military Command from January 2013 to De-cember 2014. Results All 87 patients that were diagnosed jujube seed in esophageal entrance and jujube seed was taken out successfully by endoscopy. Phlebanesthesia endoscopy were performed on 28 cases and pharyngeal anesthesia were per-formed on 59 cases. There were 15 cases with preoperative esophageal perforation;2 cases with esophageal perforation after taking out jujube seed and 1 case with neck infection. There was no bleeding or death. Conclusion Endoscopic treatment is a safe and effective treatment in patients with jujube seed in esophageal entrance.
