Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effect and safety of oxcarbazepine for the partial -onset epilepsy .Methods Searching for database about randomised controlled trials ( RCT) of oxcarbazepine and other antiepileptic drug monotherapy treat par-tial seizures in PubMed,EMBASE,Cochrane,Wanfang database,CNKI,VIP database, using literature screening software Endnote check literature and screening , using Meta-analysis of the special software RevMan 5.3 system evaluation . Results Total 2 716 reference studies were screened ,in which 15 trials were chosen including 2 040 patients in all .The a-nalysis showed that oxcarbazepine in the treatment of partial onset seizure control rate was 66.11%,other antiepileptic drugs control rate was 62%,oxcarbazepine and other antiepileptic drugs in partial seizure control rate had no significant difference [RR=1.17,95%CI(0.95,1.45)].Oxcarbazepine and other antiepileptic drugs in partial seizures in the adverse reactions in the treatment there was no significant difference [RR=0.67,95%CI(0.40,1.12)].Conclusion For the existing evi-dence,the control rate and the incidence of adverse reactions of oxcarbazepine in the treatment of partial epilepsy is safety and effective. However, the long course of security needs further research .
