Analysis of drug use in 537 patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis

Abstract:Objective To explore the analysis of drug utilization for patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis ,understand its treatment and evaluate its rationality.Methods A retrospective study was performed on patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis received in the General Hospital of Shenyang Military Command from May 2013 to May 2015 .The statistical analysis was performed on the types and frequency of drugs during the hospitalization to analyze the rationality of medica -tion.Results There were mainly 13 types and 41 kinds of drugs for the treatment of patients with decompensated liver cir-rhosis.Single-drugs with the highest frequency of use were including esomeprazole ,diisopropylamine dichloroacetate tablets , compound amino acid injection (15-HBC),rebanipide tablets and alanyl-glutamine.The drug types with the highest frequen-cy of use were liver protection drugs,enteral and parenteral nutrition,diuretics,proton pump inhibitor,gastric mucosal pro-tective agents ,pancreatin and antibacterials , with 8.6 kinds in per patient .Conclusion The medication protocol for pa-tients with decompensated liver cirrhosis is basically rational .However ,the selection of drug type for liver protection ,the ap-plication of parenteral nutrition and usage of proton pump inhibitor should be further discussed .
