Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation on acute lung injury induced by severe trauma in dogs. Methods Twenty beagle dogs were randomly divided into 4 groups, normal control group( Group A) ,model group( Group B) ,mechanical ventilation treatment group( Group C) ,and ECMO treatment group( Group D) . The differences of vital sign, hemodynamics, blood gas analysis and routine blood test were compared between different groups. Results The rate of heart and respiration in Group D was lower than those in Group C(P<0. 05). In Group D,value of mean arterial pressure, right atrial pressure and right ventricular pressure was better than those in Group C(P<0. 05). Comparing with the value in Group C,the value of PaCO2 and PaO2 in Group D was better. The number of red cell and white cell, and the content of hemoglobin of routine blood test in Group D was better than those in Group C(P<0. 05). Conclu-sion Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation has a good effect on severe trauma induced acute lung injury.
