Abstract:Snake bite is one of the often overlooked public health issues in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide.Anti-snake venom(ASV)is currently the most effective treatment for snakebite envenomation. However, the application of ASV has the challenges of high cost, high risk of allergy, strong cold-chain dependence, and insuf-ficient supply globally. This paper reviews the production and limitations of traditional ASV and the current optimiza-tion strategies,in order to enhance clinicians'understanding and emphasis of ASV,standardize its usage, and provide new ideas for improving ASV production capacity.
