Four hot issues of managing atlas fractures

Abstract：Atlas fracture is a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge in spinal surgery.This paper elaborates on four hot issues related to it:how to assess the injury of the transverse atlantal ligament,how to select the fixation method,how to manage the combined injuries,and how is the application of new surgical techniques.Through the a-nalysis of the above issues,it is hoped to provide a reference for the diagnosis and treatment of atlas fractures.
