Abstract:The harsh environmental conditions in plateau regions, including high altitude, low oxygen levels, and intense ultraviolet radiation, coupled with the unique demands of military missions, make ocular trauma one of the most common injuries among plateau-based troops. This poses a serious threat to the health of personnel and the combat effectiveness of the force.Based on practical experience in managing ocular trauma within plateau-based mil-itary units, this paper reviews existing literature and analyzes current conditions. It summarizes the primary types of ocular trauma encountered, progress in establishing treatment systems, and existing shortcomings.Targeted develop-ment recommendations are proposed, including improving prevention systems, optimizing tiered diagnosis and treat-ment,strengthening grassroots training, and advancing scientific research and innovation. The aim is to provide theo-retical reference for enhancing ocular trauma treatment capabilities and establishing an integrated medical support model for plateau-based military units.
