Abstract:Ankle sprain is a kind of sports injury with the highest incidence worldwide caused by sports. If not treated in time after acute sprain, about 40%of patients will develop into chronic ankle instability(CAI),which is characterized by repeated sprain and subjective instability.Sports rehabilitation,as an emerging non-invasive therapy, has shown good effects on various types of sports injuries.Currently, protective gear kinesio tapes have been widely used in clinical practice, but their therapeutic effects and mechanisms of action are still controversial.Gait analysis technology is a scientific method to observe human walking motion, involving multiple disciplines of biomechanics,ki-nematics,anatomy,etc.It can dynamically correlate the kinematic parameters, dynamic parameters, and electromyo-graphic parameters with human body and walking.Compared to conventional imaging and laboratory tests, gait analysis dynamically monitors the ankle joint to achieve real-time monitoring of the walking status of the subject. This paper re-views the cutting-edge research progress on gait characteristics of CAI patients with kinesio tape intervention.
