Abstract:Intertrochanteric femur fracture is a common fracture in orthopedics practice, and the current ma-instream treatment is surgery, with early and strong internal fixation and functional exercise recognized as the manag-ing principle by academics. However, regardless of intramedullary or extramedullary fixation, there exists a certain rate of internal fixation failure after surgery, and the reasons are complex and often the result of multiple factors, which is still a hotspot of academic discussion for many years, and has a great clinical guidance value. This paper fo-cuses on the issue of postoperative internal fixation failure among intertrochanteric femur fractures and concludes the possible related factors by combining the team experience and the latest literature progress, aiming to provide some references and lessons for orthopedic surgeons.
