Abstract:Skin wound healing is a complex process.Various factors, such as bacterial infection and comor-bid chronic diseases, can interfere with the wound healing process and form refractory wounds,or even cause serious consequences such as sepsis and amputation.Curcumin is a natural compound extracted from the rhizome of turmer-ic.A large number of studies have shown that it has pharmacological effects such as hemostasis,anti-inflammatory,proliferative remodeling,anti-infection,and antioxidant in wound repair. This article reviews the therapeutic effects and possible mechanisms of curcumin in different stages of skin wound treatment,to lay a foundation for the further development and use of curcumin in wounds.
