Research progress of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in spinal cord injury

Abstract：Spinal cord injury(SCI)is a severe central nervous system disorder that poses a significant challenge to society due to the severe and often permanent disabilities following SCI.Brain-derived neurotrophic fac-tor(BDNF)is the most abundant neurotrophic factor in the body,playing a crucial role in the growth,development,differentiation,regeneration,and repair of neurons.It is also closely associated with a variety of brain and nerve dis-eases,making it a potential therapeutic choice for lots of neurological disorders.This article aims to provide a brief review and summary of the research progress on BDNF in SCI,to offer reference for subsequent basic science and clinical applications.
