Abstract：Blunt thoracic aortic injury(BTAI)is one of the fatal injuries in blunt chest trauma and is the second leading cause of death in trauma patients.However,due to the lack of specific clinical manifestations,the di-agnosis,treatment,and management of BTAI are still far from enough.Therefore,this article reviews the clinical characteristics,diagnosis,and treatment of BTAI based on the latest worldwide research progress.It is recommended that chest trauma patients should undergo timely CTA to ensure early detection and timely surgical treatment of such patients to improve the survival rate.
