Abstract：3D printing is an emerging discipline that integrates scientific informatics with medical engineer-ing.It shows a thriving trend in the field of orthopedics due to its unique advantages,but how to make better use of 3D printing still puzzles us.By summarizing the problems encountered in the process of 3D printing in technical preparation,clinical application,biological materials,medical education and practice,this paper shows the unique ad-vantages of 3D printing in orthopedics,further explains how to avoid the difficulties in clinical practice,and discusses its future development directions to better serve orthopedic needs.
