Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Fernandez Ⅰ injury in the distal radial fracture by the treatment of traditional Chinese manual reduction and fixation with small splint,so as to supply further support for clinical treatment in such fracture cases. Methods Data of the 94 patients with distal radial fracture were ret-rospectively analyzed, who were treated in our hospital from Jun.2015 to Jun.2016.They were randomly divided into operation group and traditional Chinese manual reduction group. In the operation group, there were 25 males and 23 females, with average age of 39.73 years;in the traditional Chinese manual reduction group, there were 28 males and 19 females, with an average age of 39.13 years. The operation group was treated by open reduction and internal fixation. The traditional Chinese manual reduction group was treated with traditional Chinese manual reduc -tion combined with small splint external fixation. The elimination time of joint swelling, the time of joint pain disap-pearance,the time of fracture healing, wrist joint function and related complications were compared between the two groups. Results All 94 patients were followed up for 6-18 months, with an average of 11.6 months. There was no significant difference in the wrist joint function between the two groups(P>0.05).The time of joint swelling elimination, joint pain disappearance time and fracture healing time in the traditional Chinese manual reduction group were better than those of the operation group(P<0.05),and the complications had no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The traditional Chinese manual reduction combined with small splint external fixation in the treatment of distal radius fractures should be widely promoted, which can accelerate the pain and swelling disappearance and bone healing and has less complication.
