Progress in the study of different fixation methods for the treatment of femoral supracondylar fractures in adults

Abstract：Supracondylar fracture of femur is mostly caused by high energy damage.It is difficult to treat because of its special anatomical structure,complicated injury and unstable fracture.In the past,non-operative meth-ods were adopted,but the effect was not satisfactory.In recent years,surgical treatment has made rapid progress,in-cluding plate and screw fixation,intramedullary nailing and external fixation methods.In order to obtain better cura-tive effect,the research progress of different types of fixation methods for supracondylar fracture of femur is reviewed as follows.
