Curative effect comparison of distal clavicle microporous locking plate and hook plate in the treatment of NeerⅡdistal clavicle fracture

Abstract：Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of distal clavicle microporous locking plate and dis -tal clavicular hook plate in the treatment of NeerⅡdistal clavicle fractures .Methods Data of 58 cases was retro-spectively analyzed , who were treated with microporous locking plate or hook plate from Jan .2013 to Dec.2015. The postoperative curative effect and shoulder function of the two groups were analyzed .UCLA-Rating-System( Score of University of California at Los Angeles and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Shoulder Score ( ASES) were used to evaluate the surgical outcome .Shoulder function was assessed by Constant-Murley Shoulder Outcome Score . Results Difference of perioperative indicators was not significant (P>0.05).The shoulder function was improved significantly after two kinds of internal fixation .At the end of 3 months follow-up, the shoulder score of the UCLA-Rating-System and ASES in the distal clavicle microporous locking plate group was 30.5 ±1.4 and 80.5 ±13.4, re-spectively, which was significantly better than that of the clavicular hook plate group (25.7 ±2.1,65.4 ±12.1,P<0.05).However, there was no statistical difference in the shoulder score of the UCLA-Rating-System and ASES be-tween the two groups .The Constant-Murley Shoulder Outcome Score was better in the distal clavicle microporous locking plate group (83.3 ±6.4) than that in the distal clavicular hook plate group (71.5 ±5.9) at 3 months after operation(P<0.05),but had no statistical differences at 6 months after operation between the two groups ((91.3 ± 4.2) vs (92.7 ±3.5), P>0.05).Conclusion The distal clavicle microporous locking plate can effectively re-construct the stability of the fracture site , and quickly recovery the joints ' function.
