Complex ankle fusion with Ilizarov techniques

Abstract：The final reconstruction and repair of the ankle diseases and trauma include fusion and replace -ment.Due to the instable long term results of ankle replacement , ankle fusion is the major treatment method .The routine internal fixation methods lead to a lower successful fusion rate for complex ankle situations .And they cannot solve the complications such as defects , deformity and infection .All these situations can be treated wholly with one method-Ilizarov techniques .
